- Rabbi Sholom Duchman is the director of Colel Chabad. The organization was founded in 1788 and is the oldest continuously operating charity in Israel. The institution runs a network of soup kitchens and food banks, dental and medical clinics, daycare centers, widow and orphan support, and immigrant assistance programs. It also provides interest-free loans, camp scholarships, career training and job placement, subsidized weddings for the poor, and many other social-welfare projects.
Colel Chabad was founded by the first Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, and was headed by each Lubavitcher Rebbe thereafter. It is also known as the charity of Rabbi Meir Ba'al HaNes.

I discovered Colel Chabad last year when I was looking for a charity to give tzedakah and I think I found them in this channel.
I took a lil look to the website and I felt in love.
I love how they handle the problem with so much transparency and class, because they found ways to help people in the darkest time but in a quiet and respectful way.
I hope H' help me the rest of my life to still supporting Colel Chabad. I cannot have words to describe hoe thankful I am to know that I can help Israel living in the exile.
I am way too far but Colel Chabad help me to feel closer and closer.

I'm Chabad living in Crown Heights and never knew any of this.
You’re not alone. I feel as a resident of CH most of this doesn’t apply to us as CSSVY (Shimshon Stock and the like).
Therefore there is this gigantic organization in CH but for Israel mainly.

Reb Sholom. The reference you mention in the beginning of the meat that was sent from Ireland to Israel as instructed by the Frediker Rebbe then.
